mc+co outline the benefits of successful e-business at 'small business, big opportunities' business conference

MC+Co were delighted to be asked to give a presentation at the ‘Small Business, Big Opportunities’ event hosted by Brentwood Borough Council at the Ford Motor Company’s UK headquarters in Brentwood.

The event was a great success with approximately 100 delegates in attendance. It offered practical advice on e-commerce, marketing and business management to small and medium sized businesses both locally and nationally.

Andrew Robinson, MC+Co’s Web and Brand Strategy Director, provided guidance on developing a successful online business. Commenting on the benefits of online marketing, Andrew said, “It’s about joined up thinking. Branding, web design, application development, search optimisation and search marketing must work together to create a web site that works well for both business and consumer.”

With £4.2bn spent online in February 2008 by UK consumers and with 15% of all retail being spent online, it is no wonder that businesses are tapping into this area of the market. However, as Andrew’s presentation demonstrates, there is plenty to consider before heading in this direction and with a clear vision and business rationale, businesses are more likely to achieve their goals. With this in mind, Andrew outlined the aspects of e-commerce that need to be considered in order to ensure success.

MC+Co have received some great feedback from the event. Councilor Brandon Lewis, Leader of Brentwood Council said “We have had some very positive feedback about Andrew’s presentation and have received numerous emails and phone calls commenting on how useful and informative it was.”

So, if we can help you with your online marketing, or any other marketing for that matter, just give us a call. We will be more than happy to help.
